It's Been Awhile

Wow, lots going on in my life.  The play is not finished to raving reviews! It was an amazing project full of amazing people.  Biggest role I have ever played it was a good challenge. So that took up most of my life for the last three months and I am no on vacation. Plan to do some recording here this week, its taken me sometime to just unwind, lots of stuff going on in my personal life as well.  So all that to say I am going to be more active this new year in music and live performances..........maybe get a trio together we'll see. To blessed to be stressed SS

Good times and lots of lines

Not those kind of lines! I am in the current production of Pine Tree Players and need to spend more time learning my lines.  The Moldy Fig gig went great, awesome to have my parents down to see it. Sold out house, 4 sets good times not I gotta leran lines.

Extra Extra!

Lots going on in Canmore these day, got a movie being shot. It stars ahhhh that dude from True Blood the brother.... apparently? And a nice lady called Sarah...something. I had the extreme pleasure of being and extra and doing background work for the day. It was a fun experience, I enjoy the behind the scenes stuff.  Watching the camera work, the lighting and all that, hoping to glean something for my own (future) productions. Now it is from screen to stage, need to start to memorize my lines for the play I am in. Be blessed and a blessing SS

Good Show

Well the Good Earth was a good show!  Had a great feel, like a lounge place was packed for a time and all of us had a great time.  My chops weren't to bad either. A gentlemen came up from the crowd to "bow down" to my VOX amp. haha there is just something cool about a VOX. Keep Grooving SS

Blue moons and Good Earth!

Well I guess if you have two blue moons in one month the second is call a "blue moon" (which also means a smurf is being born)  And on this blue moon wich is the Friday the 31st.  I am playing with Moldy Fig Fusion at the Good Earth Cafe in Canmore. It's going to be fun and.....oh ya the got a liquor license so in you can now have a glass of wine or beer when you are enjoying some great jazz music, instead of a coffee at 9pm. Tomorrow I'll be playing at the Victory Thrift Store , fundraising BBQ.  All proceeds go the their programs.  Jacket Frost which supplies children with winter jackets for the cold mountain winters, and their "Back to School" program with supplies back packs and a years worth of school supplies. These are great cause's and I am happy to be a part of it.
